The Mainstone Press

The Mainstone Press is a small independent publisher based in East London, producing a handful of books each year on artists of the early twentieth century. Their titles bring overlooked material to light – Edward Bawden's lost pre-war watercolours, Suzanne Cooper's rediscovered paintings, first-hand recollections of Eric Ravilious – alongside new editions of rare artist's books, from John Piper's Brighton Aquatints to Lucien Boucher's Parisian Boutiques. Made with real care for paper, printing and binding, many are limited editions, and several are already scarce. We're delighted to stock their list alongside the prints in our gallery.
