Our St Jude's In The City exhibition at The Bankside Gallery (next to Tate Modern, until 4th December) features a great selection of London inspired linocut prints by printmakers Paul Catherall and Gail Brodholt.
Based in London, Paul Catherall has become renowned for his clean, sharp linocuts of architectural landmarks, exhibiting at numerous solo and group shows, as well as his figurative illustrations for high-profile clients including Transport for London.
Gail Brodholt is a leading painter and linocut printmaker of contemporary urban landscape. Much of her work depicts the London transport network and the journeys made across the city on tubes and trains. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE).
