We're delighted to be presenting our next St. Jude's In The City event in association with our friends at The Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh.
The exhibition will feature prints and one-off pieces from the participating artists: Christopher Brown, Chloe Cheese, Linda Green, Peter Green, Jonny Hannah, Mark Hearld, Michael Kirkman, Ed Kluz, Angie Lewin, Emily Sutton.
Exclusive to the exhibition is a portfolio of of ten prints inspired by Scotland which are illustrated below (and are available for purchase individually).
In his introduction to the exhibition, Simon Martin, art historian and curator at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, writes...
"Together this group of new prints presents a lively response to the inspiration of Scotland, but also showcases the work of ten of the most talented British printmakers working today.
Their images may express a sense of the past in the present, of continuity with the British Mid-century modernists, but that it is by no means a nostalgic cul-de-sac. Each artist brings a myriad of other influences to their own work and they continue to look forward, creating work that speaks to contemporary concerns."
The exhibition runs from 3rd July to 27th July 2013 at The Scottish Gallery, 16 Dundas Street, Edinburgh EH3 6HZ.
