Downland

Our latest Random Spectacular publication is a beautifully illustrated 60-page catalogue that accompanies Downland: Art and the Archaeological Imagination in Wiltshire, an exhibition at Wiltshire Museum, Devizes.

Featuring more than thirty illustrations, it presents works by John and Paul Nash, Julian Trevelyan, John Piper, Eric Ravilious and Norman Ackroyd, alongside new prints and original pieces created by the exhibition's curator, Rose Ferraby.

Essays by Rose Ferraby, Melanie Giles and Dr Lesley McFadyen further explore how imagination and place intertwine across Wiltshire’s chalk landscapes through art and archaeology.
