We're delighted to announce the launch of The Captain’s Alphabet by acclaimed British artist and printmaker Jonny Hannah, published by our friends at Design For Today.
This beautiful hardback book is a love letter to the sea, produced with the utmost care and detail, a homage to Hannah’s skill and reputation as one of the UK’s best printmakers.
The Captain’s Alphabet was first published as a box set of screen prints in 2000, selling out on publication.
This book version has been printed in 5 spot colours. No digital printing, no colour mixes - just pure Pantone colours. It has been printed in six sections, using over 60 separate litho plates, on 140gm uncoated paper, and quarter bound in blue cloth.
In addition, there is a separate 16 page book, Southward Ho!, which comes in a pocket inside the rear cover.
Content: 64 text pages plus 4 page covers with additional 16 page book.
