Originally commissioned by V&A London, Angie explains the inspiration behind this screen print...
"I collect ceramics of all kinds, often chipped or cracked, which are filled with the seedheads and feathers gathered on my walks and sketching trips.
These will often form the starting point for my still life prints and paintings.
In this screen print, dried seaweed from the north Norfolk coast and shards of broken pottery unearthed in my garden are scattered around a Delftware plate and an old apothecary jar."
ABOUT OUR ORIGINAL PRINTS
Most of the works we offer are original prints, made using traditional printmaking techniques such as linocut, wood engraving, lithography, screenprint and etching. Each process has its own particular character, from the carved marks of relief printing to the drawn or painterly qualities of lithography and screenprint.
