This autumn, we'll be publishing Mark Hearld's latest book, 'Raucous Invention - The Joy of Making'. Published by our Random Spectacular imprint, this is likely to be a limited edition hardback publication, printed in full colour here in the UK.
Mark explains...
“Creativity is the enemy of good sense.” So said Picasso. Making art is a messy business and has nothing to do with good taste. Ideas come at the work table - always a mess, but the mess is full of potential. I‘m excited to be putting together a book of work made this year. Collages, textiles, sculpture, printmaking, photographs of the house and collections as a source of inspiration as well as collaborations with other makers, will all feature. Paste paper, pastels, paints and pencils all shout loudly. 'Raucous Invention - The Joy of Making' is just that - the title of this book and my forthcoming exhibition at YSP.
