This autumn, we'll be publishing Mark Hearld's latest book, 'Raucous Invention - The Joy of Making'. Published by our Random Spectacular imprint, this is likely to be a limited edition publication, printed in full colour here in the UK.
“Creativity is the enemy of good sense.” So said Picasso. Making art is a messy business and has nothing to do with good taste. Ideas come at the work table - always a mess, but the mess is full of potential. I‘m excited to be putting together a book of work made this year. Collages, textiles, sculpture, printmaking, photographs of the house and collections as a source of inspiration as well as collaborations with other makers, will all feature. Paste paper, pastels, paints and pencils all shout loudly. 'Raucous Invention - The Joy of Making' is just that - the title of this book and my forthcoming exhibition at YSP.
If you'd like to express your interest in a copy of the book, please complete this form. There's no obligation on your part at this stage, and no payment needs to be taken. But completing the form will ensure we'll be able to offer you a copy this autumn.
