Here we present a selection of limited edition wood engravings from artists including Angie Lewin, Neil Bousfield and Jonathan Gibbs.
Being a relief printmaking process, the artists will each cut away the end grain of a piece of wood (generally boxwood, though pearwood and lemonwood are often used).
Fine engraving tools will clear away the surface of the block where the artist doesn't want ink to appear.
The block will then be inked up and paper placed across the surface. This will then either be burnished by hand or printed using a relief printing press such as an Albion or Columbian.
The prints shown below are in stock and available for online purchase.
If you are looking for a specific wood engraving that is not available here, we are happy to keep a note of your interest. Please complete our print enquiry form and we will contact you if & when a copy becomes available.
