Wayne Pate is an illustrator working and living in Brooklyn, NY. Moving to New York City in 1992, Wayne began his career as a self-taught graphic designer, eventually working as a freelance designer for Gap, Old Navy and J. Crew amongst others - designing t-shirt graphics, logos and labelling.
In 2006 Wayne felt the need for a new creative challenge and pursued his ambitions to become a illustrator. For the next three years he focused on developing a portfolio of illustrations and silkscreen prints - now recognised by several interior design blogs and magazine editors.
Wayne's work is of a whimsical nature and focuses on a simplistic approach to concept and composition.
